Our Story
Odyssey Health Resources started with a simple frustration: too many families in this part of Oklahoma have had to navigate hospice care through call centers, corporate scripts, and providers who don’t know their community. We started this agency to change that — built from the ground up in Blanchard, by people who live here and plan to stay here.
Our Founders
Sharon Benigar, DNP — Chief Clinical Officer
Sharon leads the clinical side of Odyssey Health Resources. As a Doctor of Nursing Practice, she’s responsible for the clinical standards, protocols, and quality of care that will guide every patient interaction — from the first phone call to the final visit. Her focus is simple: care that is thorough, evidence-based, and never rushed.
Mark Nokes — Chief Technology & Operations Officer
Mark manages the technology and operations that keep Odyssey running efficiently behind the scenes — so that time, attention, and resources stay focused on patients and families rather than administrative overhead.
Our Approach
We believe good hospice care rests on a few simple principles:
- Clinical leadership you can trust. Every protocol and every clinical decision traces back to an advanced-practice nurse who is personally accountable for the standard of care.
- A real interdisciplinary team. As we build out our care team, that means nursing, a medical director, social work, and spiritual counseling working together around each patient — not a single overextended case manager.
- Community, not customers. We’re neighbors first. Our goal is to be the kind of local provider that physicians, clinics, and families in the Tri-City area know and trust by name.
Where We Are Today
We’re currently working through Oklahoma’s state licensing process before we can begin caring for patients. We’re using this time to build our clinical team and our relationships with local physicians and clinics throughout Blanchard, Newcastle, Tuttle, and the surrounding communities.
